A New Year...A new ME

Well it is a new year and time (I guess) to make a few resolutions. why we do this as we start a new year I do not know. maybe we should do new month resolutions. then we can't procrastinate changing our lives for 11 months. anyway I have decided to put a few of my resolutions up here so I have others helping me keep in track not just myself. I need to be accountable to others so thanks for our willing(or unwilling) participation.

This year I turn old... It is my 10year class reunion. and I want to loose some of my flab. and get healthy again(if I ever really was). After 2 kids one really feels the need to slim down and get healthy if only to be able to keep up with my two year old as she runs around the house saying,"getchu getchu" wanting me to chase her in circles around the house. and thinking on the miserable pregnancies I had due to bad hips and extra weight. so hopefully, when the time comes for another litlle curtain climber I will be able to survive the nine months. Don't worry I plan to wait quite a while before the next one.

I also want to watch less tv. not only so I can actually accomplish something(anything) this year but also for my children. Gabby watches way to much. and it is not good for any of us.

As a result of getting my daughter to watch less tv I would like to do more activities with her. crafts, games, outdoor activities thaose sorts of things can help really with everything.

So I am counting on every one to keep me in check. Thanks

I hate new years resolutions. Like you why not every month. why do we wait 11 more months to start over. So I think first we have to chagne our mindset and make them daily goals. I've basically given up on the fact that i'll never lose weight, so instead of not trying and failing I've decided to watch more what I eat. and It has worked. I've lost 5 pounds. You wouldn't know by looking at me but thats what the scale says. Go YOu!! You can do it. My sisters have been doing terbo jam and they have had great success and my one sister with kids her girls love it and do it with her. it makes for great mommy/daughter time and plus then you could add it as accomplishments for both goals. Good luck and i will keep up on you. Also sorry one mroe....i've been watching the biggest loser. I cannot believe the changes those people make and it gives me the drive to want to accomplish it too b/c if they can...theres no reason i can't!! Good luck
